Patricia Escalona

Patricia Escalona has worked for years as an editor helping shape books she believed needed to reach us. Both at the New Press in New York, where she cut her teeth, and at Miscelánea in Spain, she has tried to make room for necessary voices for the era we are living through. It’s not hard to imagine that, with this effort behind her, she’s tired of facing the same old situations that take us back to the fifteenth century. And since keeping quiet is no less medieval, she has now written a book to knock down all the standard-bearers of sexism. If you finish reading and you want more and you find her on the street, treat her to a vermouth and sit down and listen. She’ll make your head spin.
