After suffering a life-threatening accident which has completely wiped out his memory, Jack Winger is admitted to a rehabilitation clinic to recover from his serious injuries. There, it is explained to him that he used to be a crime reporter, that no-one visited him in hospital and that all the inmates have amnesia. What nobody will tell him is that all the patients suffer from recurring nightmares every night. Nor will they mention that sometimes the head nurse takes an inmate into the forest but returns alone, or that there is a tower with a hidden door which no-one is allowed to enter... With the help of Julia, a young patient whose nightmares are, if possible, even worse than his own, Jack will discover that there are places where it is unwise to get admitted and that some secrets should remain hidden forever.

The winner of the Premio Minotauro 2012 is a terror thriller with a suffocating atmosphere and surprising ending that will linger in the reader’s mind for a long time. Angél Gutiérrez and David Zurdo have conjured a plot which will grip you from the very first page.
La torre prohibida is a terror thriller with very unsettling elements. The denouement of this extremely fast-paced mystery novel is very surprising and original.
